The Institute of Medical Device Technology is located on the University of Stuttgart's campus in Vaihingen, Pfaffenwaldring 9.

The University of Stuttgart Vaihingen campus, where IMT is located, is easily reached by public transport.

From the main train station (Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof)
All of the following S-Bahn lines will take you to the University of Stuttgart:

• S1 (direction Herrenberg)
• S2 (direction Filderstadt)
• S3 (direction Flughafen (airport))

Follow the large green and white S symbols to find the S-Bahn platforms below the train station. Taking the S1, S2, S3 in the direction mentioned, and getting off at ‘Universität’ will bring you the University of Stuttgart Vaihingen campus.

From the airport (Flughafen)
All of the following S-Bahn lines will take you to the University of Stuttgart:

• S2 (direction Schorndorf)
• S3 (direction Backnang)

Follow the large green and white S symbols to find the S-Bahn platforms below the train station. Taking the S2, S3 in the direction mentioned, and getting off at ‘Universität’ will bring you the University of Stuttgart Vaihingen campus.

Once at the Universität stop
Leave the Universität stop in the direction of Universitätszentrum and walk to the top of the stairs. Slightly to the right of the last escalator exit is the building Pfaffenwaldring 9 (you will see a large 9 halfway up it) and the entrance is behind some pink concrete artistic blocks. Enter here and the turn right immediately once inside. When you see notice boards on your left turn left and go through the glass door. Continue straight down this corridor until you reach the next stairwell where two elevators are. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and turn immediately left when exiting. Here you should see the IMT signs directing you left down the corridor to the secretary’s office (room 3.271).

To reach us you do not have to travel long distances across the campus.You approach the campus via the B14 and take the exit "Universität". After the exit, cross the intersection towards the University and you are already on Universitätsstraße. After a good 200 m, take the first possible turn to the right (into the Pfaffenwaldring) and immediately turn left again (there you will see only a kind of road sign with the indication "Zu Pfaffenwaldring 20").

You now have the multi-storey concrete building "Pfaffenwaldring 9” directly in front of you. Follow the small access road (past parking lots) straight ahead. You still pass a barrier, which should open, however, as soon as you stop in front of it (possibly press the button). After about 150 m, you are almost automatically in front of the supplier's entrance, recognizable by a heavy steel door and a covered forecourt. After entering through this heavy steel door you will see two elevators to the left. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and turn immediately right when exiting. Here you should see the IMT signs directing you down the corridor to the secretary’s office (room 3.271).
