We are looking for methods and algorithms to filter out or identify the information that is important for the medical task from the huge amount of information contained in microscopy images or sensor signals.
Core research questions
A lot helps a lot, but how little is needed to achieve a particular goal? For certain tasks, we look for the minimum amount of data or sensor types necessary to achieve the desired functionality with the least amount of technical effort.
Especially in medical technology, safety aspects are paramount. How must a system be designed to reliably deliver the right values?
